I’ll never forget the soaring hope I felt when Amanda Gorman took the stage at the inauguration. As a family we watched her deliver that poem over and over. I couldn’t wait to buy the book. And now it’s here! It’s every bit as delicious as I had hoped. That soaring hope comes right through.
And the illustrations! They soar too! Wow is Loren Long talented. You’ll recognize Long’s illustrations from Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters by Barack Obama.
