The Bench by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – a quick review

Prince Harry’s fatherhood story is developing before our eyes and it is beautiful to watch. This new book, The Bench, celebrates that story and fatherhood moments everywhere. And it’s written by Meghan 👑.

It is powerful to see what parents will do for their children. I had no idea what Meghan and Harry had experienced as part of the royal family…. I suppose no one really did. But when Archie was born, he became the most important thing, and they did what any parent would do. They chose the best path for their son. It literally meant leaving a fairy tale. To hear Prince Harry talk now about important moments like taking his son on a bike ride, you can feel that they made the right choice for their family.

This book is a bit of a tear jerker! It’s a gentle poem about moments of fatherhood, featuring a diverse cast of dads and kids. Dads in tutus and turbans, with wheelchairs, all colors of skin, military fatigues… this is a celebration of many dads.

Here’s hoping a second book is in the works to celebrate little Lili Diana, their second child!

By Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, formerly known as Meghan Markle.

Artwork by the ever talented Christian Robinson. We love literally everything he’s ever done, including Last Stop on Market Street and one of my favorite books of all time, Milo Imagines the World.

The Bench is available on Amazon and Bookshop.
