What Is Your Dog Doing? – A Quick Picture Book Review

Happy National Rescue Dog Day to all the rescues, especially Kate Puddleton! What Is Your Dog Doing? is the perfect read to celebrate them today.

What Is Your Dog Doing is so simple and so fun. It has been wonderful for our kiddo through all the reading stages. The rhymes make this a fun read aloud, and as he gets older he’s picking out letters and words that he knows.

Dog parents will love this one. Ever had a dog chew your chair? Or eat your cupcakes off the table? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Working dogs are included too, and dogs who help people. Dogs are just the best. The dog wired / dog tired page may be my favorite!

Written by Marilyn Singer, who also wrote the Tallulah books (we love Tallulah’s Nutcracker) and Follow the Recipe: Poems About Imagination, Celebration, and Cake that’s just beautiful (recipes for courage? yes!). Illustrated by the talented Kathleen Habbley

And yes, we named our dog after the princess 👑. We adopted her from the LA County Animal Care Center in Downey, a wonderful place to adopt from!

What Is Your Dog Doing? is available on Amazon and Bookshop.
